She was critically injured in a crash after she dropped her brother off at the school Friday morning

Lindsey was leaving the school parking lot around 8 a.m. when she was broadsided on the driver’s side by a pick-up truck.

Lindsey, who is from Aumsville, had just dropped her younger brother off for classes when she left the lot and was hit. Deputies said she was facing east at the time of the crash, looking into the rising sun.

Lindsey was alone in the car at the time and was wearing her seat belt. She was taken to Salem Hospital, and her injuries are life-threatening.

In remembering

Sitting at my desk your memory dances in my mind. Lying in bed at night I can't sleep
In the haze I see your face In the living room the piano sets quiet and the bench is vacant but somewhere in the distance there are chords and I can almost hear the music
I see your face
I see your smile and the sparkle in your eye
I hear your voice and feel your love
I reach toward you
But you are gone

My heart aches more than it beats
Driving by the school today I thought I saw your pony tail bouncing just your presence lighting up the way
But It was just a dream
My soul cries but no one can hear
Nothing I do feels right
Nothing tastes as good or works the way or should
My heart aches more than it beats
My soul cries out but no one hears
Because you're gone
You're gone
You're gone
