My Story

Well, the verdict is in- Lindsay's MRI showed AVN in her ankles as well as in her knees. I thought that since she has slowly improved with her walking that maybe the knees may have gotten better but Dr. Lew said that wasn't the case. Now we will be treating her with Alleve 2x daily for inflammation and pain, and trying to take it easy on those joints. Swimming is an excellent exercise for her. There's not a whole lot that can be done now. He's hoping because of her age and that she hasn't hit puberty yet, her growth that has not occured yet may be in her favor. I know that Lindsay will have to be careful and since camp is just around the corner, no wild parties or trampolines are in her future. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. She's feeling pretty good, we got her an ace bandage for support, she still has her walker if needed, a wheelchair, and crutches (Thanks Shari).

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer !!
