I have been wanting to get in contact with you for some time but did not find, until today, this wonderful place to do so. I have followed your story through out the last year, and I pray for your recovery. I am so sorry that you had to go through this trauma. I appreciate how transparent you are about your anxiety and PTSD. You are so very brave to face this. You seem to be handling this in a very sensible, yet real way. You inspire me!
Since I thought your story was so inspiring, I had to share it with my class. So, I was wondering if you had any time, or desire, to share your story in person! It would be the biggest treat for us!
However, it seemed clear in your journal that you do not want to talk about this all day or have this become your identity. So, I sheepishly ask you if you would be interested in sharing your story/life story with my class of 8th grade students at Edgewood Middle School in Moundsview,MN. We are studying people's life stories and how they have overcome adversity. Your story, from a first hand account, I know would impact my students . My students are at risk and have many special needs. They struggle to find meaning/purpose for reading and writing. I thought you could also inspire them as you could show them the benefits of journaling and its freeing, healing power.
I'm sure you are so very busy and do not want to be bothered....but if for some reason you feel so inspired to come share,,,,we would love to have you!
Take care Lindsay!
