Libby and Ellen pull a "switcheroo" as Libby pushes Franklin (the wheelchair) while Ellen pulls with her legs and Tiffany serves as "safety patrol" ready to swoop in if needed. Libby liked being in control and Ellen saw things from Libby's usual point of view. 9-20-14
Libby takes the wheel as she demonstrates for Ellen (and photographer Bill) her walking skills, with caregiver Tiffany standing ever ready to assist. Sept. 20.,2014.
Libby admires fabulous quilt created by Ricky Tims which Clara Lawrence brought to show Libby, along with many other quilts "inspired by Libby". Thank You!!! Clara for the great fund-raising idea and organizing it, and bringing the quilts to show Libby, and to all the artists who gave of their time and resources to create such amazing quilts!!!
Libby loves Alex Anderson's incredible creation, based on the "inspired by Libby" initiative. 9-6-14
Beautiful flowers sent to Libby's room on her first day back to therapies from her friends and fellow quilt teachers and contemporary artists. How sweet! 9-3-14
Libby points to the petit fours she wants in Moellers Bakery. They really are scrumcious! She said they were for sharing later in the day, but she was asking for one in the car during the ride back to U.P. and again, as soon as she got to her room - for quality control purposes, right? 9-4-14
Nothing like some peach tea and hot yeast rolls and cornbread with Tiffany and Ellen, while you wait for your baked squash and pot roast. Yummy and nice to be out and about with today's Lunch Bunch at the Black Eyed Pea restaurant. 9-4-14
Yummy fresh corn on the cob, prepared and brought by Chef Lester. It has always been one of Libby's favorite foods and still is apparently! That's a smile under that big bite. 8/14
Libby enjoys the bridge next to U.P., on the way to Houston Baptist University, watching and listening to the flowing fountain. A peaceful moment. 7-22-14
Libby loved meeting and holding great niece Madelyn at "Maddie's" home in Montgomery, Texas with Dad Justin (Sarah's son), Momma Renea, and big sister Ashlyn. Sarah reported that it was a wonderful day! 8-9-14
Libby is all smiles while nephew Justin and Ashlyn work on some artwork of butterflies at their home in Montgomery. 8-9-14
Libby and Ashlyn had fun creating artwork while they waited for little sister Maddie to wake up from her nap. What a great trip Sarah took Libby on with Tiffany - combining artwork and kiddoes - two of Libby's favorite things! 8-9-14
Sister Sarah and Libby had a great outing for fine food, kiddoes, and lots of singing and scenery along the way to Montgomery. Tiffany was the photographer and willing accomplice to the get-away. 8-9-14
Even little Maddie (Sarah's granddaughter) wanted to get in on the artwork action. Libby Loves to hold and cuddle the little ones. What blessings!!! 8-9-14
This was one of the first things Libby wrote today with her remembered skills (although she is using her right hand). It says, "Dear Friends Thank you for gifts, support, especially CaringBridge You are my Lifeline" 8-7-14
Libby was like a kid in a candy store in "Office Max" picking out new pens, paper, and pencils for her renewed interest and ability to write again! Yipee! 8-7-14
