Journal entry by R H

I was looking through all of the journal entries that mom posted and I am laughing. “I a big girl” “I need big girl undies” “I want a pink beejina” Apparently that’s the only color they come in 🤣

Well, I was really scared yesterday when they were going to put me under anesthesia. Mostly because I hate that ringing noise in my ears that starts when they put the gas mask on and doesn’t end until I fall asleep. It was so loud! (Does that happen to anyone else?) I woke up and I felt kind of weak for awhile but eventually I was able to stand up.

So apparently I found out yesterday that I have two complete fully formed (and apparently functional(uteri.  Yes, it’s possible someday I could have a baby in each one. Would they be twins then? Talk amongst yourselves. Mom is treating me like some form of superhero. She was asking me what it feels like and I told her “I don’t know, I don’t know any different!” She kinda laughed at that and remarked “Can I have one?”

Oh, and another funny thing happened. When I was in the waiting room yesterday, a CNA (certified nursing assistant) came over and he said, "Are you Jacob?" ???????? Later I said to mom, "Do I look like a boy?" I was mostly joking.

When I was in the room getting ready for the surgery, my family all wanted a picture in the room even though clearly positioned right above my head was a "no picture" sign. Oh well, they'll forgive us. Eventually. If you know my Papa Swanson and his camera...

Now that I am done with the "surgery" (I prefer to call it a procedure since I am not getting cut open), I am proud to say that "I a big girl." Who are we kidding? I am TWICE the big girl🙋 Thank you for all of the prayers!

Sincerely,
Lucy A 😍
