Hello Everyone! Well, the verdict is not final yet on my being able to donate to Lexi. Last week I found out that I do have two kidneys, they look good, and I only have one artery and vein from each kidney. This was huge because if I had more than two, I would not be able to donate. I was also informed that I have some cists on my ovaries, but should not worry about them, and that I have a nodule on each lung. Yesterday the transplant team met and discussed me! The papers were not finalized because my transplant coordinator needs to check with a pulmonary doctor to find out the normal range of a nodule. I have one nodule that is three centimeters and one that is four centimeters. My transplant coordinator thinks that anything four centimeters and under is okay; however she needs to make sure. Once she gets that okay and my blood tests for the liver enzymes are done then hopefully they will sign off and make it official that I can donate. She told me that she thinks everything will be okay! I am going to go with that instinct for now until I know for sure! Lexi is doing the same! Great! She is full of life and sass! No doctor appointments this week! Next week she will have her monthly appointment at the U of M and I will have my blood drawn as well to get those liver enzymes rechecked! Don’t anyone call me for a drink until after May 13 J!! After May 13 and me getting the final word that they have signed off on me being able to donate, I might meet you for one!
