Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I know it has been a long time since I've updated Leah's site. Hopefully that means that we've been doing well!
Both Emma and Leah were very excited for the Christmas season and we had fun seeing Santa, decorating cookies, doing Christmas shopping and listening to lots of Christmas music. Leah got to see all the fun things Emma was doing in school and we would "copy" some of the ideas for her to do at home as well.
We just finished up our Christmas celebrations. Somehow we managed to do three rounds of presents under the tree--wow! Leah is very into princesses right now, so most of her presents were of that theme. Let's see . . . she got princess books, princess socks, princess dolls, princess toys, and a princess dress. She did get some other fun things like her own "computer" and some movies she liked. It was great to see her excitement in opening presents and hear her proclaim, "I always wanted this for Christmas!"
Leah has been through more colds this year than her past three winters. It seemed like she had a cold the entire month of November, now it started again just right before Christmas. She has been up the past few nights with a stuffy nose and hasn't been sleeping well. We hope her immunities are building up and we make it through the winter without any significant illness.
The other thing we have been working on is potty training. It is a work in progress; it seems like she has no desire to potty train at all. We'll keep at it and know that it will happen eventually, right?!
We hope the New Year finds everyone healthy and full of joy.
