Lauren and family,I started reading your Caringbridge site because my sister is also battling cholangiocarcinoma. I wanted you to know that our whole family is also praying for you and hoping that your treatments are successful. I hope the procedure you had this week was not too hard on you. You are blessed to have such a loving and supportive family. All the best,Sara Russell

Lauren your dad said you are a little nervous about the operation because you've never had one and that's understandable but have no fear because you've got all these new friends praying for you and you certainly have your faith. Also I've been operated on at least 10 times with probably only my mother praying for me and I aint dead yet so you'll just cruise through this on your way to recovery from this damned cancer.

Hi to all,  It's just me, "good ole Glad" sending a note to let you know I give Lauren so much credit for all she has to go through, and am amazed at her strength and positive attitude.  I continually think of her and the family and keep you all in my prayers.  Special prayers go out to Lauren during her new treatment in May.  I also send BIG WARM HUGS to her.  She is a real trooper.  My best wishes to all of you.Love,Glad Barnard

Will be praying for positive news with dye test this week. As for me I'm sure Mark told you I had stopped in a couple times this past week to check up on him? I am planning to stop in a bit more starting next week so my healing is progressing just not fast enough to my liking!

Will be keeping the positive thoughts for this week's test Lauren!   I am sorry I haven't written much lately.  Alot of times I read this and think, "I will write later" and then life gets in the way and I forget.  So I wanted to just say Hi and keep up the active lifestyle!  Postive living has to be an enormous help in your recovery.  As always, I need a nap after reading everything you guys have done the last week or so!

Always look forward to your weekly update and am particularly pleased to hear about the tumor shrinkage with this weeks. I miss not seeing Mark every day and our morning chats but hopefully will be back in a couple weeks.

    Pam, Lauren and Family-

I did enjoy our lunch recently and I had a fantastic time!  You are all so much fun and full of life!  Your stories are all priceless and I just loved listening to each one of you!  The picture is quite deceiving - it looks like Lauren is about 6 feet tall!  Especially right next to Lisa!  I laughed when I saw this - it is too funny!  I really appreciated all the feedback on pain control and just things in regards to our cancers!  This information is so helpful to me and I do take it back and ask my health care providers about it for me!  They decided to try Oxycontin for me instead of Morphine and this was based on that I could take Percocet and the components of these drugs are similar.  We will see what happens.  But I certainly DO appreciate the feedback and hope to continue getting that from both Lisa and Lauren!

You have a wonderful family and I love reading your journal updates!  You ladies are beautiful and strong and I keep you all in my prayers each day!  Love you and stay strong in your battle!!!!

    Take Care!

    Love - Sharon Paul

I can't believe you call that an "uneventfull' week!! I am so glad Lauren stays so busy, I wouldn't help paint BC (before cancer)LOL!! Pam, I too am an ALDIS shopper, not big on most of there products, but can't beat there produce prices!! I also (or at least Jeff says he does) likes there cereal, yogurt, wine  and salmon. We got lucky to have one across from Walmart so that make it convient!!  Keep up all your great mothering skills, you are such an inspiration!!!

    Lots of prayers-Cathy
