Please forgive me for not writing sooner, but this situation has been rough on us all. Lauren was placed in the step down unit Saturday and released Sunday at 6:00 p.m. or so. We went back to RMDH and stayed there through Tuesday early afternoon. Not knowing if we would have to stop and get a hotel because of Lauren's pain level, we began our drive towards home. We made it home late last night sometime after midnight. David gave me a break by getting up to give Lauren her medicine three times last night - THANK YOU DAVID - I did so need uninterrupted rest! Lauren is still currently sleeping so we will see what the day brings. PRAY!! On another note, please keep our friend Nate in your prayers. He has been admitted to Toledo Children's Hospital for a dura (brain sack) leak and possible meningitis. I am SO worried about this young man! He just had decompression (brain surgery) on June 25 at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. Please pray for him - He needs our help! I wish we could fly him to North Shore University Hospital and have Dr. Bolognese help him - It just breaks my heart to see someone so young in SOOO much pain!! By the way, Nate is Lauren's age. Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes! Keep the cards coming! She is looking forward to reading her cards when she wakes this morning!
