Happy Decemeber to everyone!!

I first want to apologize for the days gone by without an update. This has been a rough week and I'm still struggling for the right wording of this journal. Before I start I do want to also apologize for not being able to personally call everyone to let them now what has been happening but after 2 days on the phone I realized I can not get to everybody. Family of course and some of our close friends have been called but there are so many more I wanted to call but just can't do it. So I am sorry to the ones that are reading this for the first time without getting that phone call.

Lauren is still inpatient at this time. Her infection does seem to be responding some to the antibiotics. The area looks much better and her lab work is improving slightly. However with this said Lauren is still very tired and weak and can no longer tolerate her feeds. The more we try the more it upsets her body. We have tried everything but she is just showing us that she has had enough.

We will be taking Lauren home (hopefully today) on Hospice. We will work as a family and with the help of nurses to keep her comfortable until God calls her home. We do not have an answer as to how long this will be. It could be a week or it could be a month. It is now in Gods hands and Lauren's body. She is comfy at this time and that is what matters now.

I will update as things change but it will be a day or two for us to get settled in and get Lauren comfortable at home in her own surroundings. Phone calls and visitors are very welcome at this time. Don't feel like you are intruding. We are counting on your support and prayers to get us through this. Please please sign the guestbook. It really helps comfort our family to have the support. We are so grateful to each and everyone of you.

Again I'm so sorry for having to put this in our journal but then again this is how I keep people informed. Right?
