In the morning of Sunday September 2, 2012. Laura was severely injured in an explosion of her home in Harrison, MT. The information that was given to the family regarding the accident, is from the first people on the scene and those involved in Laura's rescue. The explosion is believed to be caused by a propane leak in the home. Laura was in the shower at the time of the explosion and that may have saved her from having more injuries.

The most current reports of Laura's injuries are burns covering approximately 70% of her body, broken ribs (all 12 on right and 5 on left) in multiple places, collapsed lung, broken pelvis in multiple places, broken wrist and damage to her kidneys and pancreas. Laura spent the afternoon at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital until she was stable enough to be life flighted to Salt Lake City. Once she is situated in Salt Lake there will be more testing and procedures that will be done to determine that actual severity of her injuries. Her mom Lisa is by her side.

Laura is the oldest of 6 with 2 sisters and 3 brothers. She also has nieces and nephews that are truly the light of her life! Those that know her well, know that she is the most generous person that is so caring for others, strong and brave and even a little stubborn. :) Laura has an amazing amount of ambition and drive. Her laughter is contagious and fills a room. She can play any hand of cards that she is dealt. Please post words of encouragement, memories and thoughts that can help Laura Lee overcome this battle that lies ahead.
