January 25, 2014 Update- Today is the 8th anniversary of the day I found out I had eye cancer - four more years to the 12 year cancer-free milestone! Each year this anniversary becomes more special as I get closer to the end of that 12 year period. I continue my annual trips to the Mayo Clinic and a couple a times a year here is the Fargo area running tests to make sure the indicators are still positive. We continue to deal with the pressure and some other tests being on the high end but, in general, it has been another great year. I had a nice visit with Dr. Prasad yesterday when I delivered her flowers to her to thank her for taking that extra step and effort to find the cancer when she did during that routine annual eye check. I told her again that I seriously believe that if she had not caught it that day and no outward symtoms developed for a long period of time, I would not be here today. It is a day to celebrate and I will spend it with some of the people who are so special to me. We plan to go out and celebrate this 8 year milestone this evening. Thanks to all of you - my family and special friends - who have continued to support me and show how much they care. Thank You So Much - Take Care.
