Larry’s Story

The memory lives on

Pineal blastoma  is a very rare pediatric tumor that is even more rare in adults. After a biopsy at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in NYC, he is now being treated at Strong Memorial in Rochester. He will be undergoing a very aggressive protocol that gives him the best chance of knocking this disease out. Please know how much your support means to us.

Latest Journal Update

Two years...

Saturday, July 12th marked the two year anniversary of Larry’s passing.  It is hard to believe so much time has gone by. And it’s hard to believe all of the changes that have occurred.  We are now living in a townhouse in Saratoga and both boys are in college.  One thingthat has remained constant is the support we receive from family, friends and the community.

In a few weeks, David Sternberg – a colleague of Larry’s –is once again going to participate in a triathlon to benefit the Catie Hoch Foundation.  David works hard all year to be able to do these events and we are thrilled that the event in Lake Placid is for our foundation.  If you would like to sponsor David in this endeavor, please go to

We were also invited to participate in another exciting event.  A local group called Teeing OffOn Cancer is holding a golf tournament at Saratoga National Golf Course to benefit the Catie Hoch Foundation.  It is being held on Monday, August 25th. We need golfers, sponsors and prizes so if you would like to be a part of this fabulous event, go to

Because of David’s commitment to our cause the generosity of the Teeing Off On Cancer committee, we are able to help many children, and their families, while in treatment for cancer. And for that, we are forever grateful.

I wish you all a happy, healthy, beautiful summer!

With love and ladybugs,
