Matthew 11: 28 Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest

Thank you so much for caring for Laney (and us) throughout this journey... and all glory to God for allowing us to be a part of His magnificant plan!

Fall days are certainly here in Wisconsin... what a picture of God's beauty!!

We have been busy- Tucker started 3rd grade, Laney started 1st grade, and Shelby started preschool ALL at St. Mary's!! It has been such a blessing to be together, in the same school with faculty that I respect and admire. Tuck's also doing piano lessons, Laney and Shelby are in dance, Todd's learning the guitar, and I'm still doing middle and high school youth group. We are busy for sure--

This week we went to a HopeKids event at the Children's Museum, and the kids had so much fun! That organization is my new favorite one for children in the Phoenix or Minneapolis area for sure! But tonight, it's silly really.... we were watching Little Mermaid 3 and Ariel was knocked down and floated to the bottom of the sea. Shelby got sooooo sad and started crying that she "was a little bit dead." It was so sweet, and then I started crying at her innocence, that Laney was just a bit older when she was diagnosed with cancer, and that Shelby is just like Laney was then. Laney's different now, with age I suppose as well, but she is more quiet, reserved, hesitant... and it just overcame me and I sat and cried during a cartoon.

Happy fall everyone- we will update again when Laney has scans in December. And before we go, please pray for our little friend Blake Thomas, who was just born on Wednesday and is at Children's as he is having some troubles. God bless you.
