Colleen,

Once again you are an inspiration to me and to all of us! Although you are visited by the sadness and grief, which is so normal at this anniversary time, you don't let that overtake you and become your story. Instead, you seek  the happiness and the light that Landon gave you and gave all of us during his brief time here. Such a lesson for us all! Thank you for the reminder!

Love,

Barbara

I have been thinking about your family this week, and hoping and praying that the days and weeks have gotten easier to handle. I think of the Morrill family often and think of Landon and the joy he is now bringing to others. I HAVE to share a funny, yet touching moment at school this week. We were in the hallway going to PE and Artie saw Miss Sarah. She definitely caught her attention as if, hey, I remember that face. He pointed to Miss Sarah and said so innocently, "Landon..." Smiles came across our faces as well as the lump that came to my throat. I hope everyone is doing well and has a peaceful season.

Dear Colleen, Terry, and Family,

Omar and I are in tears as we read your posting of today.  We did not realize that October 1 was the day of Landon's passing.  We are so happy, though, that you went to Hopkins -- and we're sure Landon was there with you to give you that strength.  He was a brave little boy and even though Omar and I only saw him a couple of times, having your family as part of our lives has brought us much joy!  God Bless All of You!

My prayers are with you all today.  I wish I had met Landon, but Cassady tells me what a joy he was to be around and how he was with Payge.  Tomorrow is one of my bad days, but also a joy, cause it was Lance's birthday and I am grateful for every single day I had with him.  Love you all and my thoughts are with you.    Diana

So sorry you keep being disappointed, Colleen.  But, as we both know, God has a reason for everything, and I'm betting that the April date will be beautiful with all the spring flowers and colors and will turn out to be ever more special for you.

I'm so proud of how strong you are, and how strong you are in your faith, too.  I'm so thankful that you and I both know without a shadow of a doubt that our 'boys' are well and happy in Heaven.  We are very blessed.

Things are settling down at work now, so I will be calling you about lunch or dinner, whichever is better for you.  I hope we'll be able to work it out with your schedule, too.

Don't forget I'm only a phone call away and that I love you.

Love, Sue

Hi Colleen!I have been thinking about you a lot lately, and wanted to check in and say hi! I hope you are having a decent summer with somewhat cooperative weather that allows you to get outside some.  Montana has been pretty soggy this year and the kids have gotten cabin fever, as have I!  We are hoping to get a camping trip in sometime soon, just so we can all get some fresh air and take a step back out of the crazy life.  Thanks for keeping in touch!  Talk to you later!

Hi Colleen and Family,

Still thinking of you often and just wanted to check in and say hi. We are doing all right back here in Montana.  Looking forward to some spring weather hopefully soon.  The kids are getting a little bit of cabin fever, as our Todd and I.  We have another check up in June at Denver, along with an upcoming heart surgery.  The cardiologist here says that it is a "routine" procedure, but nothing ever seems "routine".  Well,we are going to go out for a walk (something I am trying to incorporate into our nightly routine to reduce stress, and this spare tire I am lugging around :) ). Hope you are doing well. We will keep you in our prayers always.

Hello Colleen,

This is Jean's friend from work.  I just wanted to check in to let you know I still think of your family and pray for you often.  Today I was thinking when you celebrate the ressurection at Easter this year, you can think about how happy and just plain comfortable you little angel is feeling.  Good luck with team green beans!

Dear Colleen and family:  It was good to see you on caringbridge today.  It must still be really hard for you all to get through each and every day.  I know this week it was two years for our Jessica passing and we still don't stop thinking of her and her beautiful smile. Hope you are able to get good, restful sleep at night and wake up ready to tackle another day God has blessed you and your family with.  Keep up the good work.

Colleen,

I think the dreams are all part of the mourning process, and I also think that one day you will welcome the dreams and not see them as so sad.  Even though it's been months now, it's all still right there under the surface.

Everything you're feeling and thinking is totally normal and part of losing someone whom you love more than life.  You're a strong woman and an inspiration to many, but you don't always have to be strong.  Let yourself feel the pain; it's how you will heal.  No one expects you to be a rock all the time.

I think we need another lunch soon to talk and laugh about our two special guys.  It helped last time, didn't it?  It's also part of the process to share lighthearted memories and things that made us laugh.

Remember how blessed we are to have had these people in our lives who gave us so much joy and happiness and will continue to do that as we remember them for many years to come.  You can do this!  I'm right here with you!  More importantly, God is with you and will never leave you alone.

"Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted."

Call me about lunch.  I'm looking forward to it.

Love, Sue
