Hi Kylie & family, thanks for the update, great news, what an inspiration you all are, and what an example your walking in faith is to so many. As someone said below your journey would make an incredible movie as a witness to our God's ever present watch over us and your faith.

Joan & I continue to keep Kylie in our prayers for a full & complete recovery.... as well as everyone in your family.

Great to see the success Makenzy is having at UVA. We are going back to C'ville this May for our 50th reunion (who would have thought!) & this fall to catch some football & soccer.

Blessings, Craig & Joan Lyon

Dear Ones,

How grateful we were to read about Kylie's progress.  We do keep up on all of your lives through your grandma Ginny and Grandpa Mickey.  However, I/we love hearing from all of you.  Even though we haven't seen you girls in years, other than pictures over at your grandparents home, we feel a close tie to all of you.  Praying as we do for your family keeps us bonded to you, if only through the mighty power of prayer.

The story of Kylie and her family should be made in to a book or a movie.  It is so motivating and inspirational to see the faith you have and the strength that all of you have been given because of your love for the Lord.  I know there have had to be times when you question, but isn't it nice to know that we're allowed to have those times and be loved anyway. This past Sunday our pastor spoke on having a bucket list.  He said, "Isn't it nice to know that Jesus put us at the top of His bucket list."

Bob and I wish you all the best of everything that you so well deserve.

Hugs and Love,

Jane and Bob Franz

Kylie and Doniaks,

Today is an anniversary that I wish did not exist.  I want you all to know that you are in our thoughts everyday but especially today.  Kylie's improvement is so wonderful to hear.  She was missed dearly on UT's graduation day almost 2 years ago.  All of us are thrilled to hear she is graduating too.  Oh how far she has come!!  The Payne family wants you to know we continue to pray for Kylie.  We say prayers of thanks that she is here and improving still!  You all inspire us with your faith and your strength.  Many hugs to you.

We didn't know you all then, in fact our "knowledge of you" is remote now but Kylie's dad and Matthew's dad (our son, Joe and Janet Lipp) went to school together in college.  As it turns out there are more connections too but we haven't managed to meet yet.  Matthew will be 17 on the 10th, on his 16th birthday he was in a coma with encephalitis.  We've traveled a similar road.  If Kylie ever has time, or is up to it, I believe they would both benefit from meeting.  Right now, Kylie's successes could make a huge difference to Matthew as he battles to get his life back.  Thanks for the encouragement, keep going Kylie and be blessed!

Continued prayers and thoughts of thankfulness from Texas.  Kylie and the family are still an inspiration to so many of us who have never met her.  The University of Texas is better for having her as a Lifelong Longhorn.  Congrats early for graduation....the best is yet to come.

Your post has brought tears to my eyes!  Even though I didn't know her well (my daughter, Katie Becker, was on her soccer team in 4th grade) I think of Kylie and your family's trauma  often.  It's wonderful to know that she continues to get better!  She and your family are truly  inspirations!

Thanks for sharing this update. I never met Kylie but started following when a mutual friend told me about this horrible accident. I have a daughter who played soccer in college and felt a kindred soul. We have strong faith and prayer with you during the first year struggles. May God grant the desires of your families heart and make ALL your plans succeed. Psalm 30:4
