Happy 4th of July! I wonder if anyone, especially the younger generation, even remembers what that means. The sacrifices that were made for freedom are phenomenal and yet most of us complain when one thing doesn't go our way. I think of the soldiers fighting for us, risking their lives every day for freedom, but seeing the negativity from the media on TV everyday. I don't believe the garbage that you support the troops but aren't for the war. That's like saying, "Oh, I believe in God, but I am not going to do what he says." The two go hand in hand and I am so moved by their sacrifice that when I see one personally and go up to them to thank them, I can't keep from crying. Do we even understand the true sacrifice they give freely, volunteering for it? I know I don't. Yet, they do it for US, strangers they have never met, for my son, who wouldn't have the quality of life if our country wasn't free today. I look at America and wonder while they are fighting overseas for our freedom, it's slowly being taken away at home. I see my freedoms and liberty slipping away, like clouds passing by and it amazes me that people aren't even aware. Well, this momma won't stand for it! I am going to link to Patrick Henry's speech before the Revolutionary War. I second his stance, "Give me liberty or give me death!"

Kyle's doing well, has his new splints, shot off some fireworks last night and sleeping well.
