My Story

Kristi went to Rochester on November 12 for her annual checkup at Mayo.  In addition to getting the routine tests, she wanted to share some health concerns with her physicians...  She had been feeling run down and exhausted for a few weeks with NO appetite (very uncharacteristic!!), and her right arm had been weak and hurting since a fall in September (though she soldiered on through Crossing Borders!).  As expected, her care team ordered further tests to investigate the situation and she spent the week doing blood work, MRIs and CAT scans.

On Friday 11/15, Kristi got the results of those tests and some clues about what is going on.  The first words from the doc were "it's not good news" and he shared that it looks like there is cancer in her lungs and several other suspicious areas in her abdomen.

We created this site to keep all Kristi's friends and loved ones informed as she moves through this journey.  And to give you a way to express your love and support for our beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandma & friend!
