Just wanted to let everyone know that things are going good for Krista. She is very weak but is working hard at getting stronger. We are trying to fatten her up - some days her appetite is not so good so is a challenge to find what she would like to eat! She is doing physical therapy a couple times a week and that will help build her strength up.

We had a very blessed Christmas - it is so great to be back home with family and friends. We want to wish all of you a very healthy happy New Year.

We thank you for your prayers and good wishes. One of these days Krista will be able to get on here and look at her website.

Krista got to come home! She, Mom, and Dad all got back to lovley snowing Juneau around 10:00 in the AM on the 15th of December. They are all excited to be home and are just loving all the company. We will be decorating the Christmas Tree cause I was not going to until they got home, so now it will be decorated for Christmas, and we will all be able to celebrate together. It's going to be a wonderful christmas with the most wonderful gift of all, our family together once again.

To contact Krista and the family, you can give us all a call at our house (907) 789-1672, or go ahead and send us a letter. Our address is:

We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy, Happy New Year! Thank you all for all of your Prayers and love, it was what got us all through this tough time, especially Krista. We will try to update in the coming weeks with how her strength is improving.

Thank you again, and have a wonderful hoilday season,

    Kelsey (the little sister)

    Hi all,
It's Aunt Keela here in Juneau. I was supposed to do a update for Kathy a couple days ago but life has been busy.

Krista got out of Harborview Medical Center on Saturday the 2nd. Kathy, Martin & Krista are staying with my in-laws (Cleonne & Bill Compton). They live by Shelton, Washington which is by Olympia. This is a great place for them to rest & recover as gma Cleonne is very caring & likes to take care of those she loves. It was about a 2 hour drive from Seattle so I think this took a tole on Krista as she was hurting really bad on Sunday when I talked to her. She is in a lot of pain as every muscle in her body hurts terribly. When I talked to Kathy the other day she reminded me of how Krista was carrying the extra 80 pounds of water right after this all happened to her. Plus all those muscles haven't been used for 7 weeks. So we need extra prayers to give her strength to endure this transition back into being mobile. She is eating good ole home cooked meals but after a couple bites she is full so it will take time for her to be able to get enough to eat to help give her strength & nutrition. Kathy also told me they took a ride in the car to Burger King, on Tuesday I think. It is a long process as she has to use the walker for short spurts then ride in a wheel chair. This is very tiring for her but she is being strong & doing it. I will be checking in with them again tonight or tomorrow so will try to do another update. I know she has her first Physical Therapy there in Olympia tomorrow as they couldn't get her in quicker than that for some reason.

If you would like to send a note via snail mail their address is:
    2600 SE Arcadia Rd
    Shelton, WA 98584

Thanks everyone for your kind ways & especially your prayers. We are all so blessed to be in such a wonderful community with a loving family & great friends.

    God Bless you all,
    Aunt Keela
