Cholangiocarcinoma Awareness Month and World Cancer Day

Today is World Cancer day. Many people are showing their support by turning their Facebook purple. (Unfortunately, my iPad won't let me). Many others are helping or donating time or money to cancer foundations, patients, etc.
I am asking you to please take a moment out of your day to pray for those who have won the battle, are still in the fight, and also in rememberance of those who have lost the battle.
Cancer is a horrible disease that takes many people too early. I have met quite a few, especially since my diagnosis.
This month is also Cholangiocarcinoma Awareness Month. Below is a link to the board where those of us dealing with cc and their families can go to read, ask questions, etc.
Cholangiocarcinoma is a silent killer. There are often no symptoms until it is too late. Some of us, like myself, have gone for treatment for something else when the cc is found. As of now, the only "cure" is surgery, but many of us are inoperable at discovery. There have been many inroads into treatment in the last few years, but we have much more to do. Please consider becoming more knowledgeable about this horrible disease, and improve your diet to lessen your chances of being diagnosed with any forms of the monster that is Cancer.

Thanks, and I hope you all are having a great beginning to 2014!
