Psalm 116:15  His loved ones are very precious to him, and he does not lightly let them die.

literally, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”

I will be unable to attend because I will be in the hospital, but know that my heart and mind will be there and your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers always.

Pam, once again you have displayed the grace of Jesus to all who will come on Saturday, making everyone feel comfortable, comforted and welcome. I was reminded of Isaiah 61:3 that God will "can and will give to His people "beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified." Through all this, He has been glorified through your faith in Him. There's coming a day when all this will pass away, He will wipe away tears and we will all rejoice before His throne. In the meantime, we continue to lift you all up as you make the transition into a new chapter of life while Kirah dances in heaven. We love you.

Thank you for the tear-inducing SCC song. Moments ago I passed it along to a friend who is remembering the anniversary of a loved one's homegoing on December 5.

Thanks for sharing that lovely song. I agree that, when we see our loved ones again, the time between will be as if it never happened. Still praying.

My loving thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. I lost my son at an early young adult age and I know the pain and the broken hearts you are feeling.  You have been such an inspiration to all who have read your posts this past year and God will be by your side as you lay Kirah to rest.  <3

Wow you all are amazing. God is definately working thru your precious, beautiful Kirah. When others say they just can't handle it and get thru it, tell them to call you all!  Of course God is guiding you all along the way. Let him. Kirah and your family has touched and blessed and brought many, many souls to a new way of life! Thank you Kirah and the Elliott family.

I imagine there is no pain more far-reaching and deeper than losing a child. Words can not express the sorrow and pain I feel for the loss of your daughter Kirah.
    With deepest sympathy.
