Kimber has had many ups and downs since surgery. They want her to get back on her normal feeding schedule, get her off the morphine and have the energy to heal, but at the same time, not be in pain and not move around and disturb the trach. site.

Kimber is very uncomfortable when they suction her trach, but otherwise seems to be resting comfortably. She seems at times to be excited to see us, but frustrated that she can't make a sound. She is usually a little chatterbox.

We are visiting with her a few hours every day, the nurses are constantly by her side and take very good care of her so I feel okay about staying home with the other children much of the time.

They should change her trach tube on Friday and move her out of the ICU at that time.
