Kevin and Family - Think of you often and the strength that you all show to others. I just love it when the announcers of the KY Cats basketball games talk about you. Just last night we heard how you and Noel had spent time together on the court. SO GLAD YOU ARE GETTING TO LIVE YOUR DREAM.

Kevin, you don't know me or anything. But you are Kierstens' and I hero. You've done so many things to inspire us. Your story gives us hope. You're the strongest and bravest person we know. Too many people complain about the little things in life, and here you are giving us a huge story. You are our motto. Keep going strong, we know you got this. We'll pray for you every night.

Hey, Kev! Even though you don't know me and I have never met you, I have been following your progress ever since Coach Cal's first visit to you, in Indiana.

Keep strong and know that you are an inspiration to so many people out there. God has given you a drive to fight the good fight and you are doing a remarkable job!

Sorry to hear you took a great fall. I will continue to keep you in my prayers as you work so hard in school and with everything else.

God Bless!
You've Got This Kev!

Just read Lori's post and we are thinking along the same lines.  My mom has one of these.  It's called Lifeline and is available through Home Health at our local hospital.  I'm sure there should be something of this nature in Lexington.  It cost 30.00 a month and is worth the money for lessen the stress.  Wears a bracelet that resembles a watch, but also come in necklace.  Just press and phone call is made asking if help is needed.  Have contact numbers to also contact you or whoever is needed for help.

Praying for Kevin and hopes everything continues to go well for him.  Also praying for you and the family.  You Got This Kev and GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!

I know that everything seems to cost money and money is hard to come by, but you referenced that commercial in your update about the lady falling and can't get up. It would probably be beneficial to Kevin to get him one of those monitoring systems, even if he only wore it at night, That way if he were to fall, he would push a button and help could be right there for him. Or maybe a monitor that could connect Kevin's room with the room next door or the front desk. Then someone could hear him calling for help.

I've been following your story since you started this journey. I've laughed with you, cried with you, and prayed so much for you. Remember, just as you say for Kevin, we say it for you - You've got this!

Good morning Ruth.  My goodness!  I will pray bigger for you and Kevin today.  What an ordeal.  What a blessing to have such loving people surrounding Kevin.  I am so proud of Kevin (even the D's) and so amazed at the courage and faith you lay on our hearts with every message.  Thank you Big Blue Nation for taking such good care of our #2.  Love, Grandma Connie.

I just read your post about "A few bumps in the road" and became so frustrated for Kevin. I am amazed at how much he is accomplishing. He has tremendous strength and is an inspiration. I wanted to make a suggestion for you to look into. I worked with the special education department as a peer Tito at EKU and am sure UK would have something similar. For students that need that little extra help the department usually offers peer tutoring opportunities. This is where he could choose someone in the class to take notes for him and help with the writing portions. If there is not one in the class the department would choose a student. At EKU the special education department would give the peer tutor compensation (like$25-50 a week or something). I'm not familiar with UK's setup but I know it is mandatory that they offer reading/writing assistance for certain students. I'm sure if you talk to them that Kevin may qualify, I just don't have a particular name of a person for you to ask. I would start with their special education offices though. Just a suggestion to help Kevin. Hope it helps!
