My husband, Kevin Light, was diagnosed on Thursday, March 27th with a brain tumor. We don't know why the Lord has chosen our family to face this trial, but we know HE is in control and will bring glory and honor to Himself through this difficult time in our life. Be sure to read the latest in the journal, view the photo gallery, and drop us a line in the guestbook.

Hello! Hope each of you is doing well and having a blessed day. We enjoyed spending the last day of summer vacation with our boys today. They are not looking forward to waking up early tomorrow morning for school! :) I am happy to report that Kevin's doctor's appointment went well on Thursday. His lab numbers were excellent and Dr. Lesser increased his temodar dosage to 400 mg. He will begin taking this tomorrow night and then for four nights after that. Please pray with us that there will be no side effects with the increased dosage and that his body will be able to tolerate it fine. We were thrilled to hear that his blood work was so good. He continues to feel good and we are seeing a little more clarity with his memory. We are enjoying watching the Olympics, but have been walking a little later in the mornings because we have been so tired from staying up late! :) Kevin is beginning to get quite a bit of hair growth which is a lot sooner than we expected. We heard from Dr. Shaw today at Wake Forest and our next MRI is scheduled for September 15th at 6:15 p.m. And then we have the appointment to find out the results on September 16 at 8:30 a.m. We will stay in Winston Salem for the night so we won't have to get home late and then travel back early in the morning. The 16th is our 19th Wedding Anniversary so good news will be a great way to celebrate our anniversary! :) We are continuing to stand strong in our faith and we trust the Lord will bring healing to Kevin in His own timing and in His own unique way. We realize God has us where we are right now for a purpose. We are blessed to have each other and our wonderful family and friends. God always keep His word and we have no doubt that He is gaining much honor and glory through our circumstances. We continue to look to Him for all our needs, and He is faithful and will provide for us. We are enjoying visiting new neighbors and sharing with them our story and our faith. God is so good to us! We appreciate so much all the prayers and support from each of you! Keep praying and keep believing with us in the healing power of Jesus Christ! We Love You All! God Bless You! Good Night!
