Wow!!! The Fourth of July was lots of fun. We went to the 41st Street Parade----this parade has been happening since the 30's. We have a friend that lives on 41st so it was nice to have a place to hang out before and after--Thanks Traci and Will for sharing your home. Okay, I have to mention that a few doors down from Traci's is a family with a putting green permanently in their front yard. For $2.00 you could join in on a putting contest. Isamu wanted to play and I gladly gave him the money. There were 40 people playing for some prize money $30, $20, and $10. The 40 people ( Adults and kids ) was narrowed down to 10 finalist. Isamu was one of the 10. I believe 6 Adults and 4 kids. Yes!!!!! Isamu beat them all. 4 holes and only 6 strokes to win. $30.00 for a 9 year old is huge. His head swelled rather big and he ran around waving the envelop with cash.---After, of course, he shook hand with his competition.
In the evening we went to a block party for dinner and fireworks --this year we decided not to have ours. It did feel strange to not be on our block but it was nice to just relax. Also, it was David's birthday and he too got to sit back and watch and socialize. Happy Birthday David!!!!
Kenji ran around all day. Whenever I checked in with him he was busy playing with his friends, running, eating nothing good, and smiling. No signs of fatigue. Life is good.
We are on our last cycle of Accutane. This excites me greatly. We did get our schedule for our scans. This does make my heart race. I know it will be fine. We are doing a MIBG scan 7/14, CT scan and whole body bone scan 7/17, and bone marrow aspirate and biopsy on 7/20. I hope Kenji will be good through all the injection and having to drink that nasty contrast before the CT scan.
I will try to get some new pictures up soon.
Yes, Cheryl and Maddie the horses are for you : )
