Today's Update

Today I went to the neurologist, Dr. Politi, at 11am.  We went through my complete medical history since being diagnosed with AML on October 18th, 2010.  He ran some tests, changed my siezure medication,  and had an EEG done.  His exam and relating my history took a little over an hour and he set up the EEG at 1pm.  Kathie was there for all this in case I forgot something or didn't understand something.  She did not have to add much and I did remember everythng he told us. We went to the MGH cafeteria and ate between Dr. Polliti and the EEG.  The EEG took about an hour and 15 minutes.  Dr. P has to read it and get back to me if there is anything wrong.  He will send to Mayo for their interpretation and to Dr. Louma and Dr. Siemers.  We had to pick up medication at the health center and then go to Shopko  to get a medication they did not have at the NMU health center.  Anyway, we did not get home till a little after 4pm.

Made some calls and after eating at about 5:30 watched the news, and then went for a two mile walk.

Steve Reed came over at about 8:30 to fill me in on what is happening at work. He left at about 10pm.  He is also going to set up a meeting with the management team between  10 and noon tomorrow.  I be at work from about 9:45 till about 1pm.  Then back for football at 5pm and stay for the game at 7pm which should be over at 9:30-10.

I seem to be functioning better since being off the old medication.  Hope to see many of you at the game tomorrow night.  Please do not hesitate to say hello.

One other thing, I have had very many positive comments regarding Matt Wellens article in the MJ and have heard from people I had not heard from for 30 years.

Till tomorrow, that's all for now.  Thanks for all the emails today.

Take care and God Bless you all,

PS- This has been a set back, but feel I will start to be my old self shortly.

I want to thank Dr. Polliti for getting me in right away.
