I was waiting for a call from the booking clerk at the hospital before this update, but it never happened, so here is the update... Kayleigh will go in for her GFR (kidney function) test tomorrow, which takes about 5 hours. Thursday, she will have her CT Scan on her lungs and her wall motion test to check her heart function and make sure it stays unchanged from before as one of her chemo drugs can damage her heart muscle, even years down the road.
As far as I know, we will be having her abdominen ultrasound on July 8th and the doctors appointment that day or the day after. A long time to wait for results, but I am sure if anything comes up tomorrow or Thursday, they will call beforehand... maybe?
Kayleigh also has to get some more immunizations tomorrow, I think it is only one this time. Hopefully. She is going to have to endure so many pokes over the next couple of days, she is really a trooper. She knows she is getting needles and she told me she was going to be brave and not cry, so here's to hoping that's true!
I added some new pictures from the Relay for Life in Halifax on June 5th and our all nighter in Tantallon on June 6th. She was presented with flowers from the Starlites Baton Team... very emotional, but I kept myself together well. I can't wait for next years, as we missed out on some things being part of the finances team with my mom. I managed to complete my speech, broke down a bit about a minute into it, Amy stepped in for a little and then I took over again. I think I got my point across to everyone in the crowd. There was not too many dry eyes.
We are leaving for Montreal on Monday to visit "Papa and LouLou". Kayleigh is very excited! I will once again take her to the drive thru Safari... the animals come right up to your car and I am sure she will have a blast this year, as she is a little older now.
Praying that Kayleigh stays NED and praying for all the other little ones in this battle today, tomorrow and every day. Thanks for checking in on us, your support is amazing.
