We had a very nice Thanksgiving day. We had about 13 family members together at the townhouse to celebrate life and to rejoice in having Kayla home with us. Of course we had way too much food again. We played Apples to Apples and a card game called .. Golf late into the night. Kayla's doctor appointment on Friday went well. The appointment was basically for Kayla and the doctor to touch base again and to express any concerns about therapy or medications. One of the subjects discussed was of Kayla's upcoming surgery for removal of scar tissue and for resurfacing of her scars. We are all set for December 23rd. This date will allow Kayla the time to rest up before therapy starts again the 29th. We also had an appointment on Friday to get fitted for a new wheel chair. The one we will be getting will be a lot lighter, which will make it a lot easier for me to get the chair in and out of the trunk. Hopefully we will be able to get rid of the chair soon. Kayla's walking and balance is getting better every day. Kayla, Grandma Van and I also did some shopping for Christmas through out the weekend. Kayla has always been such a giving person. I told her this year that people would understand, if she was the one receiving instead of the giver, but Kayla wouldn't hear of it. That is our Kayla! Please keep the prayers going. Tami
