Katie, I loved reading your update and hearing how well you are doing. I know we are only a few minutes away from each other but life is busy with work, school, family, etc... and luckily we both understand that even if we don't see each other very often we are still friends and if either of us need anything we would be there for each other. I am so glad you are doing so well! Prayers were answered and you are an amazingly strong woman. Thanks for the update and can't wait to see you soon. Your friend always, Wendy

Katie, That’s great news that your health is continuing to improve and strength is making strides which all are positive and good news. I hope you’re enjoying the folks at Springfield as there is a lot of great history on that site. I look forward to more good news in the future. John G.

Oh, Katie, it is so wonderful to hear from you and to hear that you are doing so well.  It is hard to believe it has been two years.  I couldn't be happier for you and your family.  I felt a great measure of gratitude for your donor when you got your transplant and now knowing his name makes me even more grateful for him.  Tell him there is a whole valley in western Oregon who feels like giving him a big ole hug and a thank you from the bottom of our hearts for his selfless gift.  Continue to improve (I know you will) and thank you, thank you, thank you for teaching all of us "how to be" in the face of a trial; with dignity, grace and a good deal of humor.  Take care.

Hi Katie. I have been wondering how you are doing. I'm reminded of you when I drive through Sweet Home and see the shop. Sounds like you are moving in the right direction in your journey with your health. It is awesome to think of what has been accomplished so far in your treatment. You have been a real warrior. I am basically retired, but am still thinking of working. Not really much available out there. Am enjoying spending time with kids, grandkids, and doing some traveling. Wishing you continued progress in your healing.
