Marc and I came back from Dana Farber in Boston late last night. I am happy to report that my CT scan showed that I am still dancing with NED (no evidence of disease). There is a nodule on my lung though, that is NOT cancer that has grown just a little bit since last time. They do believe that it is part of Carney’s Triad but they are not sure yet. They are just keeping a close eye on it and probably within the next 4-5 years or so I will need to have it removed.

We are also excited that one year ago today, February 28th, was my last and most successful surgery. So it has been a full year that I have had no evidence of disease. I know it might not seem like a long time to most, but to us cancer patients that is huge. I am still on my targeted chemotherapy drug, Sutent, which I take every day. My type of cancer has a very high percentage of coming back, like in the 90s. So I kind of know it will come back some day, but I just don’t know when. But I am ready to fight it off when it does.

I also wanted to share with you a very touching story. When Marc and I go to Dana Farber, he and all the other guys love to look out the window of the waiting area and watch as they build this huge massive structure right next door. I will say it is pretty neat to see. This time when we went we noticed that there were names spray painted all over the beams. Here is the link to the story and pictures.
