Holy Cow!! I didn't realize it has been so long since I updated!! It's been nearly 2 weeks or wait....actually more!!  We had a very busy two weeks following school getting out, as I was driving to and from Petaluma every day at least 3 times each day for a track and field camp that the kids had a lot of fun attending.  The week ended with a track meet, which went well for both.  They both did distance and then joined in a field event.  Jillian picked the discus (which probably isn't far from outweighing her!!) and they both picked high jump.  I have a photo of them going over the bar.  It is SO COMPLETELY HILARIOUS!!!!  In true Jillian form, you should see her flailing over that bar, as Ian gracefully flows over.  It is so funny to compare the two.  We all got a huge laugh.  I will post them on this site.  The kids and I then participated in a "Relay" (a 2 person one) out in Windsor at a wonderful regional park that I would like to revisit.  Jillian brought her friend Liza so that we could have 2 teams.....since Marc was on a 12 hour fishing expedition that day!  (well deserved). We all took it real easy and it was great!  THEN.....the kids had there annual soccer team, week long, camp, which for Ian, started each day at 8:30 and Jillian 12:30........SO, you can imagine the running back and forth and all.  WHEW! I couldn't wait for that week to be over so that I could feel like summer had started!  Jillian's soccer team attended a tournament over this last weekend, which, we opted out of.....due to so much going on.  Felt a bit guilty about that, missing and all........we've never had to do that, BUT, I was speaking at the Rohnert Park Relay for Life, and didn't feel like having half my family missing!(thank you for coming Copelands and Mom and John).  We then returned that evening for the Luminario ceremony which was very emotional.  We listened to our friends' Eric and Jackson Oneil share that evening, part of their story.  Touching!!! Because we didn't goto the soccer tournament, it freed up our Friday and we took advantage of our Six Flags season tickets and went to Marine World with Jenny and all the kids. It was FUN!  Marc and I took home a painting made by Shouka the Killer whale, (we actually watched him do it) because we were the highest bidder, and the funds were being donated to Cure Kids Cancer, an organization they were raising money for that day!  We got front row seats and a photograph with Shouka as well.  Can you believe the kids missed the WHOLE THING!!!!  They were in line for one of the big roller coasters and Marc and I needed a break, so we went to the Whale show.  We didn't realized it would turn into that! (I tried calling Jillian but she didn't answer her cell phone!!!)  Shouka's painting will hang in the kids bathroom.  Fun!
I guess Father's day fell in there somewhere......I felt so horrible that day, I feel so bad for Marc.  We ended up going to dinner, but, still, not really a "Father's Day" for Marc.  That is, unless you count his fishing trip the day before, a gift from me. :)  We spent time with my Dad the evening before so it all worked out. That evening, Papa and Grandma Rosemarie gave each kid goodies from their Great Grandpa Dalton (My dad's dad who passed away in March).  Each got an authentic silver dollar coin (which he collected), Ian got a special bollo tie (not sure on the spelling), in which my Grandpa wore and had quite a collection of.  Jillian also was given his violin, even though she doesn't play, she is excited to possibly learn soon.

I've had 2 treatments since I last posted.  They both went fine, and Marc once again, ran to work, well actually this last Thursday he ran home, which couldn't have been more horrible for him.  I am in a limbo with treatments.  Like I mentioned, I am on the same cocktail but added Tykerb back into the mix. My liver function tests both weeks were "OK" so that was a major sigh of relief!!!!!!!!!!!! Some days I feel as if I am doing well, and other days, I just feel like I am NOT doing well........it is so confusing!! No scans or tumor markers until next week. (well, actually, I don't even have a scan planned......) I have this week OFF!!! and what a great week to have OFF!!! It's our 14th wedding anniversary tomorrow (July 1)!!!!!!  I think of myself last July, and I can't help but call it a miracle that I am still here!  I am so thankful..... Marc and I will be having dinner with Jenny and Kirk, and Jeannie and Dan, who both are celebrating anniversarys too!  Then, Marc and I are staying a night away in a big comfy bed and free breakfast!!! Ian is away for a few days (we miss him!!!!) to Sea Ranch with a buddy of his.  He was MORE than excited to be invited and of course, unlike Jillian had NO reservations of being away from home! Jillian hasn't spent the night with anyone in a few years! Poor girl.  I just feel for her there.  She just can't come out of that box sometimes.  Tonight it is Grandma Ann's for her.  It's like pulling teeth.......it makes me sad. Although, it would be the same way, even if she were staying with cousins too! Sigh!
This weekend brings the 4th, of course we will be running the Kenwood Footrace!!!!!! (hopefully a mellow day to follow) because the following day, Jillian has her turn at the 6v6 tournament put on by SSU.  (Ian's was on Sunday).  Her coach always opts to have parents coach this tourney, so once again.......I took the bait.  It should be fun.
Jenny and I took the kids (minus Ian) for a bike ride today.  First stop, Starbucks.......second stop "A" park, where we took turns on the teeter totter. It was fun, then as promised, I took Jillian out to lunch since Ian wasn't here. Fun day! Now I am off to get ready for our dinner out.  Not much of an update, but surely one that my kids will read someday!  Thank, as always, for checking in.  I wish everyone a VERY happy  and SAFE 4th of July!!!!!!!!
Love, Kathy
