Kari’s Story

Site created on November 2, 2018

Friday, November 2, 2018, Kari was walking to work and was struck by an automobile driving 40 mph. Her body was thrown 20 feet from the crosswalk. She sustained very critical injuries and internal bleeding. She has a broken collar bone and ribs. Her spleen was emergently removed. Most severe is a massive brain injury that includes the brain stem. The swelling on the brain is significant. Your prayers are coveted. Of all the uncertainty and troublesome words in these days of one thing we are certain, Kari loves the Lord Jesus Christ and has given her life to Him and believes in Him as her Savior and Lord. We, Kari's family, trust that God is right and good and merciful in all He does.  He is faithful to Kari & is keeping her for Himself.
Additionally, we, Kari's family extend grace & mercy & compassion the driver of the vehicle that struck her. If you ever read this, please know you are forgiven. You are loved.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
