Friends,

Karen is doing well and continuing to improve as the days go by.  It amazes me to see that after everything she has been through, she maintains such a positive attitude and continues to be the funny Karen that we all know so well.  Last Friday I stopped by their house and Karen was on the couch waiting for Todd get home from work. It was  hot outside and I jokingly told Karen that if I were her, I would be in their pool.  (Of course Todd barely lets her walk around by herself, much less climb a ladder to get into their above ground pool).  So, we decided to play a little joke on poor Todd.  Karen called him and told him she needed to know when he was going to be home because she was in the pool and needed him to bring her a float.  I could hear Todd's response from the other side of the room, "YOU BETTER BE KIDDING".  Todd didn't think it was very funny but Karen and I sure got a chuckle out of it!

As you can see from the picture, Garrett graduated from High School this past weekend!   We were so glad that Karen was able to be there to see him walk across the stage and receive his diploma.  What a proud moment for us all, especially for Todd and Karen.

Karen's very generous aunt and uncle have given her the keys to their home at Topsial Island for the next few weeks. I don't think anyone could have given Karen a better gift as she loves the beach. Just what the doctor ordered!!!  She and Kristin left for the beach on Tuesday with Linda and will be joining Karen's sisters and their families for some fun in the sun!  Todd, Garrett, Hunter, mom, Rob and I will be going down on Friday and are looking forward to a nice family weekend.

That's it for now...  Thank you for you for your continued love and support
