My Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge site. It was created to keep friends and family updated about Kara's progress during her illness. The purpose of this site has now changed, it is now being used as an outreach also as our link to families receiving the Karabears while their child is in the hospital! Please read the journal and drop us a line in the guestbook.

Journal

Hello all!  It has been a long time and a lot has went on.  Dave, Klayton and I are all doing pretty good.  We have had been camping some and working in the memory garden and just trying to enjoy life.
I talked at a mother/daughter banquet in May, that was really tough, but I think it went as well as could be expected.  it seemed like there were many people very moved.
I am asking for prayers, I am going to share our testimony again on June 6th an 7th at Christ Community UMC.  The really scary part is I have not been back in the sancuary since Kara's funeral.  Please pray that I can keep my compusure and share the message God has for me to share!
Holidays are still really hard, we still miss Kara so much there are no words to even explain.  The unrealized future for Kara still haunts us at times, things we always thought of in her life tha we will never see...there are still days that it would be easier to hide at home and not have to face the day.  We appreciate the love and support we still receive and all the prayers.  If not for all of it we would not make it through.  We still love to hear from you, emails, comments, calls whatever!  Thank you to all who put flowers on Kara's grave!
There are so many who need your prayers, anytime you feel that nudge to reach out to someone please take the leap of faith and do it!  You may never know how much it will touch them!  Remember to love your everday aggrevations!
Love and blessings as we WAIT and BELIEVE!!!
