Kara left her room for surgery around 9:00 a.m. this morning. Once she was prepped and ready for the procedure, the surgeon said to expect a minimum of two hours. The plan is to place a rod in the femur to stabilize it, replace the missing part of the lower femur with actual bone, and replace the kneecap (at this point, they do not know if they will do this with bone or synthetics). Continue to uplift everyone involved with this surgery in prayer this morning.
