Well....the snow has made it to our house. Time to really get in gear for the holidays. The kids and I put the trees up this week. Kaleb has one big one in his room and we have a big one in the living room. I set aside all of Kaleb's ornaments to put on his tree and to mu surprise, the tree is filled. There are an array of ornaments, ones that he made when he was little and ones that we bought for him, ones that therapists got for him and ones that we made at home as a family. Kaleb's eyes were wider than usual when he was looking at the tree at night. I know for a fact that this is Kaleb's favorite time of year. Mine too!

Kaleb's botox injections have not kicked in like I thought that they would have. It may take a little longer. I just feel so guilty because, those of you that know Kaleb, he likes to play with his hair with his right hand. He also uses this arm to rub his nose or itch something on his face. Well with the injections, he has to be in braces all the time. I feel so bad because what he is capable of doing, he can no longer do because his arm is braced up. Yes, I know this is to benefit but I can't help but feel guilty. He gets a break when he is at school, but then he is still busy with therapy, so he can't relax. His right leg is braced up all the time too. Poor kid.

We are getting him pumped up for his Browns/Bengals game in one month. When I walk in and remind him that he is going to see the Browns play, I start barking and chanting..."who let the dawgs out!" He starts to laugh at me. He probably thinks I am crazy like everyone else does. LOL!!

I am not sure if I told everyone, but the Doctors think they have figured out all of Kaleb's vomitting episodes. It is called Cyclic Vomitting syndrome. I mentioned it to his Neuro when he was getting his injections, luckily for me I keep good charts of Kaleb's activities, like being sick and seizures and so on. But any way... Cyclic Vomitting is a pattern of unexplained vomitting that happens with a pattern. The child has uncontrollable vomitting and is very lathargic. And in between episodes the child is healthy. This is very consistant with Kaleb. I showed the Dr. my charts for every month dating back to June when this all started and he said he is 98% sure that this is the problem. There is no test that can be run and no cure. Basically this is something we deal with. They say it is common for people with a family history of Migraines. That would be my entire family all the way down to Gracey. So Kaleb got the Vomitting end of it. usuallu it happens around the 19 or 20 of the month. He threw up one time yesterday and I thought it was the beginning of another full day of sitting over him with a suction machine. But much to my surprise he threw up in the morning and that was it. He was cheering the entire day. Laughing and talking all day. So I still let him go to his fathers house last night. I am assuming all went well there because he smelled like Spaghetti sauce when I picked him up and it looked like he enjoyed visiting with his fathers side of the family.

Well, it is time to work on laundry. Fun, Fun!!

Have a great week!
