Kade’s Story

Site created on November 7, 2020

On November 5th, Kade was in a car accident. He was immediately flown down to UC Davis where he was put on a breathing machine in the ICU. Besides that he had some other problem like broken bones, swelling, and severe cuts. We are going to use this platform so everyone can keep up with what is going on but we as a family will not have to text it out to everyone.

Journal entry by Skye Bernstein

A very exciting day for us! Last night the moved Kade out of the ICU at about 9:00pm. And this morning they decided he was good enough to go home! So kade is now home. He still must wear his constructive neck brace. And take quite a few medications. His head they were a little worried about but he has a appointment Monday with his primary so they said it will be fine until then. Stiches will come out Monday. And staples will be taken out the Monday after. However we will have to go back down to Sacramento to do so. He is very happy to be home. He was having a hard time being on the hospital for such a long time. Today was 15 days since he’s been there. This will most likely be my last caring bridge post. As long as everything continues to go well:)
We as a family are so grateful for everyone’s kind words and support. We really are blessed to live in such a caring community. Thank you all so much❤️
