Dearest Friends,

I know it has been quite some time since my last update. Lots of great and wonderful healing has been taking place. While in his home Justin has been blessed with the ability to be out of the wheelchair and walking with the aid of a walker or crutches and sometimes with no aid at all! He has regained most of his strength and mobility in his left leg; the right leg has been a little slower in it's recovery but is progressing along nicely. In the remaining weeks of the summer Justin even traveled by air for a short get-away. He is back in school for the fall semester and is continually blessed by his baseball brothers. As the team begins their off season work-outs, Justin has been able to join them as part of his on-going therapy. Next week he will see the doctor with great hopes of getting the node to begin driving in a car that has been modified with a left excellarator. How awesome is that? His health continues to be good and his body continues to grow in strength and it is with all your prayers and our great God that his spirit continues to soar. I recited the words of the Statement of Faith at this past Sunday service, with tears in my eyes I couldn't help but think of Justin. I wanted to share that Statement of Faith with you all because to me, it defines what a wonderful man Justin truly is; he never doubted. I invite you to read this aloud, I guarantee you too will be moved.

GOD TAKES CARE OF ME

I Believe: That no matter what this life bring my way -God knows about it and will take care of me, Come what may; health or sickness Riches or famine, life or death - I know God takes care of me in every situation.

So I call this to mind - and have hope. Because of the Lord's great love, we are not overwhelmed. For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning: Great is His faithfulness!

The Lord is good to those who have hope in Him... To the one who seeks Him. I know it is odd to wait quietly for the deliverance of the Lord. Though trials may come our way, God shows compassion to us - So great is his unfailing love.

I call on your name, O Lord... and even from the depths of despair, you hear my plea... My cry for relief. You come near when I call you - and you say to me "DO NOT FEAR." (from Lamentations 3)

Because of the ultimate sacrifice of my Savior, Jesus - My soul is safe in my Heavenly Father's arms... And I have nothing to fear! ...Because God takes care of me.

My prayer is that in my next journal update I will be able to tell you the wheelchair is gone forever and Justin is driving. Please join me in continued prayers for Justin, Calvin, Deedy and Tyler as they forge forward everyday. Lord's blessings to you and your families as well.
