My Story

July 1st of 2005 started as an ordinary day, but by the end of the day our lives were turned upside down. Justin, a seemingly happy and healthy child was diagnosed with cancer at 3 ½ years old. The doctors told us he was stage IV and the outcome was unfavorable because the cancer had spread from his neck to his head, chest, spine, bones and bone marrow.

Relieved that the MRI showed no change from January is an understatement. Yeah!! We can breath a little easier until he has his next work-up in May. Hopefully it will be warmer then. Dad and Justin said it was cold. No way…cold in NY? The weather in Charleston has been warm and he’s already thinking about getting his vegetable garden going. The first batch of salsa made with the tomatoes, peppers and cilantro he grows has already been promised to Ms. Ford.

Thank you for all of the support and prayers!
