Happy Thursday! Well I hope it is for Justin. I just received the answers to my questions from Minnesota and I know he'll be pleased with some and not with others. As you know we have been waiting for the answer to his T cell count results. I heard from Pat and she said his level is 145 up from 60 at his last testing. Although pleased with the jump, this is borderline, so for now Dr Wagner can't say Yes to Justin attending school. Justin will be so disappointed. We will retest him in December to see what his new numbers are and go from there. He can on the other hand STOP wearing the mask except when he goes to the Doctors office. He can go out as long as he's aware of "sick" people around him. Believe me all BMT parents are always aware of sick people around them! The PICC line stays for now. Dr. Wagner would like him to recieve the caspofungin (lung antibiotic) by IV until they retake the CT of his lungs in December. I guess he will feel safer to see two good CTs before pulling the line. We will fly up to Minneapolis for three days of testing (around Dec 18) and hopefully be allowed to return to celebrate Christmas in Louisiana with family and with all positive good news. Justin has a runny nose now and I'm hoping it's not a cold trying to come on. I think its allergies or sinus issues with the weather changing. It did stop him from eating as much as he had been. He did gain this week but only 1 1/2 pounds, but still a gain. This week I hope he makes up for it. A BIG BIG thanks to Shelly Leyden and Family for sending Justin an early Christmas present. Shellys daughter Lily was in the room next to Justins at the U of M. Sadly, Lily lost her battle and is now an angel above for all sick kids! Her family lives in Omaha Nebraska and all College Baseball fans know thats the place to visit for the College World Series. You may remember last summer our beloved LSU TIGERS baseball team made it back to Omaha. Shelly went by Rosenblatt and picked up three very nice shirts for Justin and we received them in the mail. Shelly, he was super excited! He likes them all but LOVES the white jersey with TIGERS across the front. He quickly tried it on and I know he now has a "reason" to gain weight...Baseball season is just around the corner and it has to fit! Shelly, you and your family made his day, Thanks so much for being his angels. I will try to post a picture of him with the shirts. I know all of you have been asking for new pictures to be posted. Heres the deal. My pictures are on my laptop and it's still down....I simply don't have the time to trouble shoot it. I am using the front computer without picts. So I need to transfer my pictures or get the laptop going. I promise to try to squeeze that into my busy life! Well thanks for checking in. I pray you all have a blessed week and please remember to pray for all our friends at the U of M. Miss Natalie is settling down in Memphis to be seen at St. Judes. It's an answered prayer for she and her family to be closer to home for the upcoming holidays!
