It's been awhile since the last update. Julie has had Pet Scans in March,09 and June,09. Based on these reviews Dr Patel has sent her to The Oakwood Cancer Center for a consultantation for radiation on the orginal area of cancer around the right lung. The Oakwood Cancer Center agreed Julie would benefit from treatment. The plans are on July 8th she goes in for a simulation to be marked and set up for radiation. Then she will start radiation sometime on or after July 17th. She needs to wait for one month after her last avastin treatment. The radiation will be 5 days a week for 6 and 1/2 weeks. She will also be receiving more Chemo during her radiation to help enhance the effects of the radiation. The chemo will be a lwer dose, so she is hoping she does not lose her hair again, some side effects are possible, but she is hoping they are limited. Please keep Julie in your prayers, they have been helping. All this is good, when she was first diagnosed they told her it was not possible to do radiation or surgery. So we have made some progress. thanks
