Thank you to everyone who has called or emailed to see if we are dry and safe. Yes! Aside from some major downpours and a few tornado warnings (which the kids did NOT enjoy!) we are safe and sound. I do hope the same will be said for so many after the next few storms hit. Julia is LOVING first grade and I hope she will be able to spend more time in school than she did last year. Tomorrow is the day she has been talking about for weeks. The morning starts with a classroom visit from Dr. Amy (that's her with Julia in the Welcome picture) and Sarah Jane from Child Life. They will spend time with the kids explaining leukemia and cancer and how it affects Julia. You know she loves being the center of attention for this! Afterschool, she and Greg are headed to a birthday celebration for Julia's friend Abby (Greg is their for emotional support for her brother!). When they get home from there, we start the lookout for Jackson and Jonah. They are even bringing their parents with them for the weekend! :) Jackson is Julia's friend from Hilton Head and the only competition with the Jonas Brothers when she discusses who she will marry. It should be a fun holiday weekend and we are looking forward to the R & R. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you as always for all your support and prayers. Peace, Kathy P.S. Please pray for some of our friends who have had a real struggle this summer and are hoping better days are ahead. www.caringbridge.org/visit/adamtanksley www.caringbridge.org/visit/victoriamartinsen www.caringbridge.org/visit/elliepotvin www.caringbridge.org/visit/isabellasantos Too many children are in this battle with us and it needs to end.
