Dear Friends and Family, Two and a half weeks of radiation are behind me with only 4 more to go! Today was especially interesting because a student was in the room and the technician was explaining the process to her; so, I learned a few things along the way. It is amazing how they can pinpoint areas to be treated. I am getting used to the angle marks covered by stickers on my body and could care less who is in the room getting instruction. I am beginning to get a bit burned on my neck and clavicle area especially, but not too bad as yet. They instruct you to use 2 different products, so I have been following their directions. One of the blessings this week became apparent when I was walking up the 15 or so steps that lead to the radiation oncology department. I realized that I was walking quickly and painlessly. It has been July since I have been able to say that. What a gift it is. Michel, who just returned from a regional church spiritual growth retreat, shared that the women layed hands on her today, and lifted us both up in prayer. We were sharing that it is overwhelming and humbling to be the recipient of so much love, care and support. Thanks be to God for the support and prayers of a loving church family. Judy
