My name is Josie Dowd. I was born February 3, 2006 with apert syndrome. Apert syndrome involves craniosynostosis & syndactly of the fingers & toes.

I have two wonderful parents (Mark & Kellie) and a big brother brendan who just adores me. In fact I am told that Brendan named me, I am sure lucky he picked such a cute name..

Hope everyone had a great turkey day & black friday!

Josie is doing great though, rolling over, army crawling all over and bending and playing with her legs more. she even mangaged to sit unassisted (she cannot get into sitting yet, but if you put her that way she can stay and play). It is kinda like starting over, but in fast forward, every day and hour she can do more and more. She really thinned out and her feet grew. Her feet are actually more narrow now. I think she grew 2 inches (not sure how with that monstrosity of a cast on). We can finally enjoy seeing her hair down (it got matted so easily with the cast on and her laying on it). And she wore pants today--yippee!!

We just hung out today. I went out for a bit to a couple stores and then see a couple of homecare patients. Papa glen brought cody and logan over to play all day and grandma sue brought chinese for dinner. LAZY LAZY LAZY!! I did manage to get the boxes of decorations in the house, so we can decorate tomorrow!! I love christmas, and so does brendan & josie....although it is not daddy's favorite holiday-but we are still working on him!
