Joshua definitely had a good birthday – thanks for all the birthday wishes!

So far, it has been a very busy summer around our house.  We went fishing with BTFC at the beginning of June and caught lots of fish this year.  It is always one of our favorite events of the summer.  We had a week of VBS right before Joshua’s birthday, and then on Father’s Day he left for a week at Camp!!  This was his first year to attend summer camp with Camp Sunshine and he has a blast.  Everyone (mostly Joshua AND his Mama) was a little nervous about him being away for the first time.  But, as hoped he jumped right into the activities and had too much fun to get homesick.  The photo is of Joshua with some of his cabin mates.  The theme this year was superheros - and these kids definitely are!  Thanks Camp Sunshine, he's already looking forward to next year!!

Along with lots of other things scattered between the big events, we’ve been hitting the pool and playing with friends as much as possible.  We attended a local fireworks show Friday night, and celebrated with our own little production here at home last night.

Tomorrow morning Joshua has his next scan, which of course is what prompts me to update.  He’s scheduled for the 8a slot, and we’ll have his follow-up PE with Dr. Claire afterwards.  We aren’t expecting any news other than stable, but it is hard not to let your mind wander to a different place.  We’ve had a number of friends relapse and progress recently, and it is a sad reminder that life holds no guarantees.  If you feel so inclined, please pray for one family in particular, the Morgans.  I could ask for prayers on behalf of so many others, but right now my mind is filled with thoughts of them and prayers for the peace only God can give.
