Hey Friends! I'm so glad to see that you have stopped by even though I haven't updated his journal. I apologize for taking so long but Histiocytosis has really impacted our family in such a way that its going to take a while to get back on track.

Joshua is doing great! Joleen and Joshua are home enjoying there summer going to a family/friends house every other day to swim. At first they both counted the days to summer and now.. there counting the days until they start school again..

We attended the Regional Meeting last weekend at CHOC. It was very interesting.. last year it was hard to comprehend all of the technical terms but this year it was a little easier since we have been through it all. There was a new family there... that was us last year. I knew the heartache they were feeling and the confusion of what was going to happen to there child. I was givien the chance to tell everyone Joshua's story... I did it without crying...it's been a year but it still makes me cry every time I think of everything Joshua was put through.

There was a lady Cristie Harris that organizes a softball tournament in Simi Valley. This year they had 29 teams enroll and she asked for Joshua to come out and pitch the first ball at one of the games. We took a drive down to Simi Valley which was well worth every mile. Seeing all of the people there was so amazing!!! These people/strangers are playing softball and raising money for Histiocytosis. Cristie introduced Joshua to everyone and had him go out to the middle of the field... they asked me to catch for him. It was the best feeling seeing Joshua out there and everyone cheering him on!

I hope to organize a car wash soon.. hopefully in August, we will need lots of help (volunteers). I hope you can make it or make a donation to HAA. All proceeds will go into the Hike for a Cure account.

Thanks again for stopping by to check up on Joshua!

Love ya!
