I understand the pain your family are experiencing. we were there back in 2007 withthe sudden passing of our little girl, maria, through her inability to metabolize the pain medication her first night home of successful surgery at Gillette childrens hospital in st. Paul. In the course of those years I created and published a website to help other families who are grieving the loss of a child. you can find by going to http://soaringonwingsofeagles.org/

What a neat way to h onor his memory! The stuff animals will bring smiles to the faces of hospitalized kids. My daughter, Maria also loved stuff animals and she knew how to turn on the charm at her pediatric appointments at Gillette just so he could have an EXTRA stuffed animal.

As a dad who misses his daughter when she died unexpectedly on June 10, 2007 I know the pain you are going through as you miss Josh. My daughter also had a Caring bridge site under her name Maria Gabrielson.  I think it is fantastic that you are keeping Josh's memory alive bringing smiles to other young hospital bound patients! I agree with the earlier post that what was intended as evil is made good by God. I created a website to encourage other familes who have experience the loss of children. Simply go to www.soaringonwingsofeagles.org for encouraging faith stories to encourage your your jouney.

I was thinking Sunday night how much it felt like "family" there at that event. I mean, sure, there were plenty from our Boone Trail Family and that was part of it... but even people I'd never met, knowing that we were all there for the same reason- to love and support you- means we are family. Oh, how I hate you and Josh had to go through (going through) all the trials, but to see God's family come together is very special.
