Sorry I haven't updated since the cast came off but the skin has healed pretty nicely.  One area still has what looks to me like a lot of stretch marks but overall the skin has resolved.  We are at Children's Mercy right now (it was planned - I just didn't get it posted - sorry) but he is in surgery right now getting the plate and screws removed from his hip.  The screws were practically coming out of his skin - yuk!  Anyway...his surgery should only an hour and half-ish assuming all goes well and then hopefully this hip saga will be over and we can begin therapy and working toward our end goal of bearing weight and walking!  We are praying more than anything that he will walk in his 5th year!! 

As if the little guy hadn't been through enough this summer we just found out that he is going to finally get his cochlear implant (which were postponed due to the hip) on July 14th.  Yikes...I know...this is only two weeks away but we are VERY excited as this could change his life!  Of course...we may never get a summer vacation planned as things keep coming up but we are working on it because we have promised the girls!!  So hopefully we can get him healed and be done with surgery for the year!!  Wow would that be amazing!!
