Got to see Jose, his mom, his daughter and a group of his friends up at Town & Country a few weeks ago.  He was up for the holidays.  Commander Hargreaves and his wife Jan and Al and I had a great visit.  Jose uses a computer now to let people know his wishes and gets to make his own choices and express his opinions.   His therapist has also been working with him on doing some painting and his mom had three of his paintings on her computer, we were very impressed......I suggested she post them on this site as I'm sure all his friends would love to see them.   We did talk to him and although not sure how much he understood, he did react to us so my theory is he understood us just fine....His daughter Alex is now a junior in high school and has become quite the young lady, we enjoyed talking with her and I gave her a photo of her dad from one of our Police Chief conventions .   I think the days excitement wore him out but it seemed like he was doing good and we hope he enjoyed the visit as much as we did.   His mom seems to be doing well and says she has enjoyed her time in New Hampshire.  Joses friends that were there were awesome people and their kids were super good towards Jose, it was nice to be part of it.
Ok, that's my update....hope for more progress next time.

Hello Jose!
Thinking about you--Loon will be opening next month and although I'm retired and now living in Maine, planning to visit and hope you can, too! You made it a couple of times last year--missed you on the second visit, but joined you on the first you were looking good!

Hi Jose, hope this finds you doing well.  Haven't heard any news so hoping that means you are doing ok.  They had a "Welcome Home Viet Nam Veterans Day" in Concord a few weeks ago and I convinced Al he should go.  It was very nice and I think it made a difference in a lot offolks lives.  Now maybe some of the healing can begin, sure hope so....

Our grandson is in his middle school band and had his frist marching experience in the parade was this year.    Granddaughter's last year in elementary and Al was once again an invited veteran for the program.

Saw a picture in the paper of the Lupines(?) flooding Sugar Hill, put the paper aside to cut it out for you but it got tossed. Maybe someone sent it to you.

Nice to see you still have some friends  checking up on you, maybe its time for some photos so we can see what your doing with all your time in Florida...

Ok,, you take care and be well.

Hello Jose (and family),    The Lord brought you to my mind today and just felt the need to sign in on your guestbook and to see if there were any updates that had been posted. We had a big hurricane here in the northeast and I'm sure you would have been out serving and protecting like you always did. Thankfully there has only been one fatality in NH and that was near Loon Mountain. Your sister and Mom I'm sure have been keeping up with all the news and such up this way.    Anyways, we still pray for you and know that you are right where you are supposed to be, surrounded by loving care and the best doctors, and therapies, etc.    Would love to get an update on how you are doing if time allows for your Sis to post one.    Blessings and prayers for you all!And I can't close without thanking you again, for your service to our community and country. May God bless you.Sincerely,Lori  (Berry) MacDonaldLisbon/Manchester NH
