Joey, Gia and I went to American Village (www.americanvillage.org) for the 4th of July and had a wonderful time.  Joey was able to visit the soldier's camp and even wear one of their hats and hold their sword.  Ms. Andrea and her family were there and she brought Joey a little shark that lights up - it held Joey's attention most of the evening - well, that and all the shameless FLIRTING he did with Ms. Andrea kept Joey very busy.  At one point, Joey couldn't stop "cooing" and was even "giggling" at Ms. Andrea (yes, she is blonde).

Joey enjoyed the fireworks but his favorite part was at the end when dozens of fireworks went off at once.  He had a huge smile on his face and I think I had more fun watching him watch the fireworks.  The sounds didn't bother Joey at all, in fact, the louder it was, the bigger his smile.

Joey has been in rare form today, LOTS of smiles while he plays in his room.  This new photo was taken about an hour ago.  We have some storms predicted for the next 48 hours so I'm hoping we will escape this round of weather without any seizure activity.

Please keep Joey's friend, Becca, in your prayers.  She is in Joey's class at school and has been in the hospital for awhile now.
